Surveillance Video In Ward Incident Posted Online

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Surveillance video has been released following an incident earlier this week in Los Angeles involving Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward.

Entertainment news website TMZ posted the video on Saturday.

Police in Los Angeles reportedly handcuffed the Steelers star and an unidentified woman at gunpoint in the overnight hours of May 5.

But Ward said the whole situation was all just a misunderstanding.

The woman reported the car stolen, but never told police she had found it.

Police reportedly confronted the pair, ordered them out of the car, and then handcuffed Ward and his female companion. Police say the two cooperated and were eventually let go without being arrested.

Following the incident, Ward posted a message to his fans on Facebook.

He wrote: "To my fans, the incident in the news that involved me getting pulled over, I want everyone to know that this was a complete misunderstanding. The police were just doing their job. Apologies were made and it's now in the past. Moving forward, Hines."
