Penn State To Interview Ron Everhart
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Penn State officials will reportedly interview Duquesne's Ron Everhart for its vacant head coaching position.
The interview will take place tomorrow at an undisclosed location.
Sources tell KDKA-TV Sports that Everhart had immediate interest in this job as soon as former coach Ed DeChellis left for the Naval Academy.
In five years at Duquesne, Everhart has led the Dukes to four winning seasons and has made a postseason tournament the last 3 years.
The 49-year old has a record of 83-74 at Duquesne which is impressive considering what the coaches prior to him accomplished.
Duquesne played Penn State last season and lost 77-73 on Dec. 4th in State College.
Everhart has been a D-I head coach for 17 seasons but has yet to make the NCAA Tournament.
