Mother Nature Cranks Up The Heat

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Mother Nature left us with a soggy spring, but now she's turning up the heat.

Monday's high was 90 degrees and Tuesday's projected high of 93 degrees would tie a record set back in 1919.

While the sun is a welcome sight to many, others are already saying it's too warm.

"Seventy [degrees], 80 is good. Ninety is pushing it," Laura Bradshaw said.

"Well it's been a long winter, but I think it's too soon. I haven't quite adjusted. I don't think anyone has," Dan Harris said.

With months of bad weather finally behind us, it's time to enjoy the sun and warmer weather.

At Frick Park, people and dogs alike got their exercise in in the milder temperatures Tuesday morning.

"This is the first time I'm on my bike since last year. So, it's nice. Nice to take advantage of it while it's tolerable," Harris said.

Justin Hadricky toughed out the winter on his house boat, but he's soaking in the benefits now.

"It's been nice! Sun finally came out and it's not raining," Hadricky said.
