Report: Jaromir Jagr Receives One-Year Offer

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- It appears as though someone has offered Jaromir Jagr a contract but it wasn't the Pittsburgh Penguins.

According to a report from the Czech Republic, SKA St. Petersburg has offered Jagr a one-year deal worth $4.5 million.

No word yet from the Jagr camp as to whether he's going to accept this offer.

Jagr has been surprised that hasn't received any offers from his former team, Avangard Omsk.

Following the 2011 World Championships, rumors spread that Jagr was interested in returning to the NHL.

The Penguins and Montreal Canadians were the two teams linked to Jagr.

In the end, Jagr was likely using the NHL as a negotiating ploy to receive more money from Russian clubs.
