4-1-Zoo: Pitt-Iowa A Noon Start

PITTSBURGH — Pitt travels to play Iowa in non-conference play on Sept. 17 for a noon start on either ESPN or ESPN2, as announced Tuesday afternoon.

It is one of six games that will be broadcast on the ESPN/ABC family of networks. The Panthers will travel to Iowa for the first time since 1951.

The last time these two schools met was in 2008 at Heinz Field — a game Pitt won by one point, 21-20.

The following is the full Pitt football schedule for 2011 with the announced TV dates and times that have been released so far.

Pitt 2011 Regular Season Schedule:
Sept. 3: Pitt vs. Buffalo
Sept. 10: Pitt vs. Maine
Sept. 17: Pitt at Iowa (ESPN, ESPN2), noon
Sept. 24: Pitt vs. Notre Dame (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2)
Sept. 29: Pitt vs. USF (ESPN), 8 p.m.
Oct. 8: Pitt at Rutgers
Oct. 15: Pitt vs. Utah
Oct. 26: Pitt vs. UConn (ESPN) 8 p.m.
Nov. 5: Pitt vs. Cincinnati
Nov. 12: Pitt at Louisville
Nov. 25: Pitt at West Virginia (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2)
Dec. 3: Pitt vs. Syracuse (ABC, ESPN, ESPN2)
