Some Father's Day Gifts Are Priceless

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Father's Day is Sunday. Time is running out to find a gift for dear old dad, but Consumer Reports has some suggestions.

Perhaps this is a good time to upgrade his old push mower and get him a self-propelled model.

"You'll pay more for a self-propelled mower, but if you've got a larger lawn, or if you just want an easier time mowing your lawn, then this is a feature that you should consider," Peter Sawchuck, with Consumer Reports, said.

Consumer Reports suggests another idea to keep things trimmed up around the house. But then again, what kid's going to shell out $240 for an electric razor, even if it works underwater and supposedly has the best battery?

So what do you get for the man who has everything?

KDKA's Rick Dayton put the question out to dads on the KDKA Facebook page and the answers were all over the map.

For instance, Michael Cap said he wants a nap. Chuck Furman said he would like a Camaro, but perhaps Buzz Dietz said it best when it said he wants his son to be safe while at war in Iraq. It proves once again that some things money just can't buy.

"What would I like for father's day? My grandchildren to fly from England and come over here and join me for Father's Day," said one father.

"I'd like to be able to spend time with my family and all my children live outside Dallas, TX which is where I'm from, so I'd like to all be together," added another dad.

So in other words, the mower can go. This year, forget the tie and make it the gift of time.
