4-1-Zoo: Pitt's 2012 Commit List Grows to Five

PITTSBURGH — Pitt coach Todd Graham has received four commitments in a little over 24 hours to total five commits so far for 2012.

Most recently, the Panthers added defensive back William Parks from Germantown High School and wide receiver Trenton Coles from Clairton High School.

Parks hails from the Philadelphia area and is listed as a 2-star recruit by Scout.com and is unranked by Rivals.com. He's listed between 6-foot-1 and 6-foot-2 and weighs in between 175-180 pounds. He had offers from five other schools: UConn, Temple, Stony Brook, New Mexico and Buffalo.

According to his Scout.com profile, Parks rushed for 657 yards and four touchdowns as a junior at Germantown High School while also catching nine passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Parks had 45 tackles and three interceptions.

Coles is rated as a 3-star recruit by Rivals.com and a 2-star recruit by Scout.com. At 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, he'll fit right in on an already tall corps of wide receivers, as Mike Shanahan, Devin Street, Salath Williams and Drew Carswell are all 6-foot-3 or taller.

Scout.com notes Coles' strengths as a deep threat — he runs a 4.4 second 40-yard dash — that runs decent routes and has good hands. He had other offers from Akron, Ohio and Purdue.
