Pirates/Toronto Blue Jays Preview

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Pirates will wrap up their 2011 interleague schedule with a 3-game series in Toronto starting tonight.

The Bucs will send Kevin Correia (9-6, 3.65 ERA) to the mound, while Toronto will counter with LHP Jo Jo Reyes (3-6, 4.34 ERA).

Pirates/Toronto Gameday Notes:
*With a win tonight, Correia would become the first Pittsburgh pitcher since Bob Walk in 1993 to have 10 wins prior to the All-Star break. Walk recorded a 10-6 record that season- his final one in the big leagues.

*OF Alex Presley was officially promoted to the Pirates. Presley ranked third in the International League in batting average (.336), second in hits (98) and total bases (146), tied for second in triples (5), tied for third in stolen bases (18) and fifth in runs scored (52).

*CF Andrew McCutchen enters tonight's game with a .373 batting average this month, which ranks third in the National League behind Matt Kemp (.395) and Justin Upton (.394).

*The Pirates are tied for fourth among all National League teams with 20 road wins this year....The only NL teams with more road wins are the Braves (23), Diamondbacks (21) and Mets (21).

*The Pirates will have a winning month of June, their first since going 14-13 in June of 2009....The last month in which the Bucs won more than 14 games was May 2008 (15-13).

*The Bucs have gone 13-8 in games started by an opposing lefty this season, which includes a 5-2 record on the road...

*In the last six games, the Pirates bullpen has been charged with just two earned runs in 23.1 innings... Pittsburgh's bullpen ERA of 3.21 ranks seventh among all National League teams...
