Pens' Morrow Discusses NHL Draft, Pressures Of Being 1st Rounder

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Pittsburgh Penguins first round draft pick Joe Morrow joined The FAN Morning show Wednesday and talked about how excited he is to be a member of the Penguins organization.

"It's still beyond anything I could ever image," Morrow said. "I still don't know how to describe it but coming to Pittsburgh and everything opened my eyes and showed me how great of a town it is and how beautiful of a city it really is. I really enjoy everything about it so far."

Joe explained how excited he is to work with player development coach Billy Guerin, learn head coach Dan Bylsma's defensive schemes and how he's dealing with the pressure of being a first-round selection.

"To live up to expectations is a little extra pressure, but it doesn't bother me too much," he added. "I think I can have the confidence to push through and maybe it gives me that little extra jolt if I'm not doing too good out there. It's a positive I'd say."
