WVU Kicks Busick Off The Team

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Dana Holgorsen has dealt with his first discipline issue as the new West Virginia head football coach.

Holgorsen has kicked sophomore linebacker Branko Busick off the team one day after he was arrested at a Morgantown apartment complex and charged with armed robbery.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police were called to the apartment after a man called police, saying a man pointed a gun at him and two others, demanding money.

When the man said he had none, the alleged robber began hitting him with the weapon.

According to the story, the man says he was struck repeatedly before being forced out of the apartment and into the street.

Busick was the only person arrested following this alleged incident.

Busick was expected to compete for a starting spot on West Virginia's defense this season.
