Pittsburgh (KDKA)- With the MLB Trade Deadline less than a week away, here are the Pirate trade rumors.

*ESPN’s Buster Olney speculates that Colorado’s Jason Giambi “would be perfect as a bench addition” for the Pirates.

*According to Joel Sherman of the NY Post, most calls to the Tampa Bay Rays about OF B.J. Upton are coming from the Nationals, Braves, Pirates, Reds, and Cardinals.

*Jeff Zrebec of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Pirates, Rangers, Tigers, and Twins are among the teams that have expressed interest in Baltimore Orioles reliever Koji Uehara, who is one of the best relievers available.

*Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports tweets that Alex Presley’s thumb injury increases the Pirates’ need for an outfielder.

*According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post, the Pirates have interest in Ty Wigginton, who played with the Bucs from 2004-05.

*The Pirates and Rockies have yet to exchange names on catcher Chris Iannetta, tweets Jon Paul Morosi.
