Steelers Sign Undrafted Free Agents
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Kevin Colbert and his staff are off to a quick start with signing undrafted free agents.
The Steelers Depot, a reliable Steelers blog, is reporting that they've signed eight undrafted free agents, none of these confirmed by the team.
The biggest signing to this point is former TE South Carolina Weslye Saunders. He is a huge target, especially in the red zone, at 6'5'' and 270 pounds. Saunders has been clocked as fast as 4.72 in the 40-yard dash.
There was early talk that Saunders would get drafted in the 3rd round. Saunders was suspended from the team prior to the start of the year for rule violations. Saunders could mean the end to free agent Matt Spaeth.
