Steelers Sign Gay To Multi-Year Deal

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – After losing out on signing wide receiver Plaxico Burress, the Pittsburgh Steelers made sure to shore up the cornerback position Sunday afternoon.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers signed William Gay to a multi-year deal. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gay will begin practicing with the team on Aug. 4, per the new NFL rules.

Burress spent much of the day on Saturday visiting with the team and meeting with Steelers management.

On Sunday, he agreed to a one-year, $3.017 million deal with the New York Jets.

The Steelers also resigned punter Daniel Sepulveda on Saturday.
