Jury Finds Men Guilty In Triple Murder

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A jury has found two men guilty of killing three people during a birthday party in McKeesport last summer.

Isaiah Hereford, 18, and Deanthony Kirk, 20, were on trial for the murders of Jahard Poindexter, 30, and Tre Madden, 17, both of McKeesport, and Angela Sanders, 23, of Wilkinsburg, on June 15, 2010.

The defendants reportedly went to buy cigarettes at the Crawford Village housing complex the night of the incident. Prosecutors say they planned to rob the people who lived in the apartment; but then started shooting.

Earlier this week, one of the victims' fathers told KDKA-TV that his family just wants justice.

"We're looking for closure," Poindexter's father Monroe Sanders said. "Both sides of families are hurting -- even the victims' families. We just want some closure on it. We want justice out of it also because it was a senseless killing."

The jury began deliberating on Thursday afternoon. This afternoon, jurors returned with a verdict of guilty on all counts for both men.
