Detectives Re-Interview Witnesses In Death Of 3-Year-Old

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh police detectives were interviewing and re-interviewing witnesses and others following the shooting death of a 3-year-old boy early Tuesday morning.

Among those questioned a second time were the baby's mother who was in the Tioga Street apartment at the time of the shooting; the grandmother who was outside the apartment and the mother's boyfriend identified as Brian Dalton who was also outside at the time.

Police said they were still looking for 18-year-old Gregory Dalton who was in the bedroom with 3-year-old Zymiere Sewell and his 1-year-old sister.

Police say he goes by the nickname "Yellow."

Pittsburgh Police Commander Thomas Stangrecki said investigators were making progress in the investigation and they were getting cooperation from witnesses.

The Medical Examiner's Office said Zymiere died from a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of his death is pending further investigation.
