Ryan Clark Discusses Goodell's Power Over Players During Lockout

PITTSBURGH (SportsRadio 93-7 The FAN) -- Steelers Safety Ryan Clark joined Joe Starkey and Josh Miller of Seibel, Starkey and Miller to talk about what power Roger Goodell should have.

Ryan said Goodell has a whole lot of power, and when it comes to his rulings on Albert Haynesworth and Kenny Britt, the players will be watching closely to see what he does in order to see how he'll operate under the new CBA.

The players have taken a lot of flak for weighing in on suspensions Goodell has handed out, and Ryan said they will just sit back, hope the fans weigh in with their opinions, and make sure they're living their lives right off the field so they don't have to go in front of Goodell.

We also discussed some on the field topics with Ryan asking him if he is primed for his best season yet and what it's like playing next to Troy Polamalu.  When it comes to playing alongside Troy, Ryan said it's an unusual situation because some people look at him like he's only able to play because of Troy, while people who know the game know how tough it can be to play alongside a guy like him.

We wrapped things up with Ryan getting his thoughts on when the team will start looking ahead to playing the Ravens in Week One instead of focusing on these preseason games.
