Crews Return To Washington Twp. Double Murder Scene
WASHINGTON TWP. (KDKA) -- Investigators returned to the scene of a double murder in Washington Township.
Anthony Henderson and his girlfriend, Noel Richards, both 24, were found dead inside his home on Fox Road earlier this week.
The Westmoreland County Rough Terrain Fire and Rescue Team was there on Wednesday searching the property.
"We assist for searches," Mike Rosensteel, a member of the team, said.
"We also assist police and other agencies whenever they need assistance looking for something lost in wooded areas and also urban areas."
They searched combed the yard before making their way to the woods.
While officials have not said what they are looking for, it's possible they could be in search of more evidence.
Henderson and Richards were found dead in the basement of the home after police were called about an assault.
Autopsies on the victims were completed Tuesday. The coroner has not released the cause of death at this time due to the sensitive nature of the investigation.
