Ex-Girlfriend Of Crime Spree Suspect Speaks Out

FAIRCHANCE (KDKA) -- A surveillance camera recorded part of a West Virginia man's crime spree.

The footage shows the hit-and-run accident that sent 58-year-old Sydney Bush to Uniontown Hospital with broken bones.

The accident happened Monday in Fairchance, Fayette County along Route 857.

Shayne Riggleman, 22, rear-ended Bush, made a U-Turn and hit her again.

While in Fayette County, Riggleman also visited his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Harwood.

She broke up with him a month and a half ago because she was terrified. She was even more scared when he showed up at her father's house Monday afternoon.

"He wanted me to go on a ride with him – one last ride and he threatened to kill me," Harwood told KDKA-TV.

She refused to go and called police, but he already moved on with his crime spree.

He later shot a gas station attendant in Roane County, W. Va., before ending his life in northern Kentucky.

This happened after Riggleman allegedly shot and killed five people inside a home near Morgantown, W. Va.

Harwood once shared a home with them.

It wasn't until Tuesday morning that she learned what happened.

"I was just devastated," Harwood said. "I dropped to the ground, cried and just – I'm still having nightmares."
