Craig McConnell On The UPMC High School Football Show

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - ROOT Sports high school football coordinating producer Craig McConnell joined John Phillips over the weekend for his weekly spot on "The UPMC High School Football Show" to analyze Week 2 of the WPIAL season.

Although it was an off week for the TV gang due to Pirates coverage, Craig did attend Aliquippa's 27-0 blowout of MAC rival Beaver Falls at Geneva College's Reeves Stadium, and he gives John his impressions of both teams, and of the pre-game ceremony honoring local legend Joe Namath and the rest of the 1960 WPIAL champion Tigers.

Meanwhile, Craig examines the issue of which college Hopewell tailback Rushel Shell will choose, and whether or not Pitt's new "high-octane" offense would be an ideal fit for Shell.
