Pens Reduce Camp Roster By 5

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Prior to the start of training camp on Friday, Pens GM Ray SHero had reduced the roster by five players.

Jessey Astles, Stefan Fournier, Daniil Tarasov, Ian Watters and Maxime Lagace have been returned to their respective junior teams.

All five players participated in the rookie tournament this past weekend in Oshawa, Ontario.

Astles, 18 will spend his third season with Kelowna of the Western Hockey League (WHL). Fournier, 19, will play for Victoriaville of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) after splitting the previous three seasons with Lewiston and Acadie-Bathurst.

Tarasov, 20, will play his second season for Indiana of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Watters, 19, is slated to play his third full season with Brampton of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Lagace, 18, is beginning his second season with Prince Edward Island of the QMJHL.
