Alleged Murrysville Flasher Charged

MURRSYVILLE (KDKA) -- State police have found a man accused of flashing high school girls on a school bus in Westmoreland County.

This happened earlier this month on Route 22 in Murrysville between Cline Hollow and Manor roads.

A group of girls were riding home from a high school volleyball game when a man in a silver car drove past visibly pleasuring himself.

One of the girls was able to get a license plate number and police have identified the man as 28-year-old Steven Martz of Berlin, Somerset County.

"The fact that the people on the bus were very observant when it came to the vehicle description and the vehicle that was being used and the license plate information, was very important," Trooper Steve Limani said.

"That was the key piece of information that we needed to make an arrest on this individual that was doing such a horrific act in front these young girls."

Martz is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness, disorderly conduct and careless driving.
