Police Investigate West Mifflin Shooting

WEST MIFFLIN (KDKA) – One person was injured in an early Thursday morning shooting in West Mifflin.

According to police, the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. at the Monview Heights housing complex.

The victim was found at the bottom of a hillside and was transported to UPMC Mercy Hospital. Their condition is unknown, but they were alert and talking with police at the scene.

A couple of hours later, residents reported hearing up to eight more shots being fired in the complex.

Police returned to the scene, but did not find anything and there are no reports of additional injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.
