Girl Found Wandering Outside Rivers Casino, Mom Facing Charges

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A local mom is facing charges after police say she left her little girl outside, shivering at Rivers Casino while she was inside gambling.

State Police filed charges of child endangerment against 30-year-old Tran Quach from Fairmont Street in Pittsburgh.

On Saturday, a security guard noticed the 8-year-old wandering around near the valet area of the casino. He notified police who reviewed the surveillance tapes. The footage showed Quach inside playing blackjack.

Trooper Adrian Lapaglia tells KDKA's Kym Gable Quach had over $500 in gaming chips and didn't appear to have plans of leaving.

Quach told police she and her daughter took a bus to the casino on Saturday because she left her car there the night before after having too much to drink.

The little girl was wearing flip-flops and a light jacket and told police she was cold.

No court date has been set for the mother.
