PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN)– Franklin Regional head football coach Greg Botta joined 93-7 The Fan’s John Phillips Saturday to discuss his team’s decisive 38-0 victory over Ringgold, a senior night win that gives the Panthers at least a share of the Class AAA Keystone Conference title.

Tailback Dane Brown, whom we also heard from Saturday, has been the focal point of the Panthers’ offense, and Botta talks about how much it means to him to run the ball often, and how much the improvements by the team’s defense mean to him as well.

Greg also weighs the rest of the competition in Triple-A, and reminisces about his time at now-defunct Swissvale High School.

In addition, Greg gives us some insight into how tough it is to run a successful program on a daily basis…

Now in his 18th year with the Panthers, Botta became the first coach of a Westmoreland County program to win a PIAA title in 2005.
