With Two Weeks Left, County Executive Race Heats Up

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - With only two weeks remaining until the Nov. 8 election, the race for Allegheny County Executive between Democrat Rich Fitzgerald and Republican D. Raja is intensifying.

Fitzgerald and Raja both talked with Larry Richert and John Shumway on the KDKA Morning News.

Shumway asks both candidates about whether they would commit to a no-tax pledge, similar to the one Gov. Tom Corbett made to the group Americans for Tax Reform, and what county residents could expect to pay under their prospective administrations.

Fitzgerald and Raja also discuss the financial woes of the Port Authority, and discuss their respective plans for Allegheny County drink and property taxes.

Listen to the KDKA Morning News every weekday from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA!
