NORTH BELLE VERNON (KDKA) – A Sunday morning accident closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Westmoreland County.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a truck crashed into an overpass in North Belle Vernon around 7 a.m.

It appears that the top of the truck hit the underside of the Fayette Street overpass.

The driver was injured, but there is no word on their condition at this time.

The westbound lanes were reopened around 1:30 p.m.
