LIHEAP Offers Home Heating Help
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The cold weather has started to settle in around western Pennsylvania, which means heating bills will be on the rise.
For low-income families, paying the heating bill is a major concern, but there is help available.
Beginning on Nov. 1, applications for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program were made available.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, LIHEAP is "grant that offers assistance in the form of a cash grant, sent directly to the utility company, or a crisis grant for households in immediate danger of being without heat."
