Point Marion Couple To Stand Trial In 15-Month-Old's Death

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Fayette County couple has been ordered to stand trial on homicide charges following the death of their 15-month-old daughter earlier this year.

Robert Dodson and Tammy Jo Bohon are accused in the neglect their sick daughter. The girl died last winter.

The Fayette County District Attorney said in January the little girl died due to dehydration and malnutrition as well as other causes.

In court today, a state trooper testified that Bohon admitted to smoking crack while away from home while the child was dying.

The prosecution also argued that both parents were negligent for a long period of time.

After a hearing in May, Dodson's older daughter said her father was innocent, saying he took care of all of his children.

Following the girl's death, the couple's other children were put in the care of Children and Youth Services.
