Chiefs QB Palko Looks Forward To NFL Start

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Former Pitt Quarterback and Kansas City Chiefs backup Tyler Palko will get his first start in the NFL this week after starter Matt Cassell went down with an injury. He joined Bob Pompeani Saturday on 93-7 The Fan to talk about it.

Palko has worked hard throughout his career and now he finally gets his chance. This is not an easy start for him as it will be this Monday night against the New England Patriots. He then moves on to play the Pittsburgh Steelers next week in Kansas City.

But Palko is excited for the challenge and looks forward to playing against some really good teams and defenses.

The former Panthers QB is surrounded by western Pennsylvania receivers in Kansas City (Jonathan Baldwin and Steve Breaston), and he enjoys the local connection and hopes to be able to get the ball to them as much as possible.
