Pitt Remains No. 17 In Polls

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Pitt didn't budge in the latest rankings this week, coming in at No. 17 in the AP and Coaches polls.

Pitt remains at No. 17 despite a spotless 3-0 week. The Panthers started off Tuesday with a four-point win over La Salle, 73-69. That was followed up with much more convincing wins against Penn, 78-58, and Robert Morris, 81-71.

Pitt dropped out of the top 10 two weeks ago after a disappointing non-conference home loss to Long Beach State, 86-76. It was the first non-conference home loss at the Petersen Events Center in 58 straight games.

Pitt plays Duquesne at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Consol Energy Center and then travels to play Tennessee at 5:15 p.m. Saturday.
