HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A man who allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home ended up with two stab wounds after a friend came to the woman’s aid.

The suspect’s name is not being released but Jason Wilkinson, who owns the house rented by Lacie Henschel, says Henschel has a protection from abuse order against the man.

State police say early Sunday, the assailant broke into the house on Wilky Lane in Armbrust and punched the woman in the face with a wine glass causing a severe laceration.

A friend staying with her grabbed a knife and stabbed the intruder two times. He was later flown to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Henschel was treated and released. No charges have been filed.
