Penn State Accepts Bid To TicketCity Bowl

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The No. 24 Penn State Nittany Lions (9-3) have accepted a big to the TickeyCity Bowl in Dallas Jan. 2 against No. 20 Houston (12-1).

The game will be played in the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium and is scheduled to air at noon on ESPNU.

It's the 12th January bowl game for Penn State since joining the Big Ten in 1993.

"We are excited to be playing a great Houston team in the TicketCity Bowl," interim head coach Tom Bradley said, according to the team's official website. "I'd like to thank the bowl committee for selecting us and let them know we are looking forward to playing in Dallas in the first bowl game of 2012. The opportunity to play in the TicketCity Bowl is fitting acknowledgement of the hard work, dedication and perseverance our student-athletes have exhibited during this especially challenging season. We are proud to represent the Big Ten Conference, our university, alumni and fans in the TicketCity Bowl."
