Power's 2012 Roster Nearly Complete
By Matt Popchock
Tommy Crowley, a backup offensive lineman who joined the Pittsburgh Power late in their inaugural Arena Football League season, has been re-assigned to the team.
According to the Power, this brings the number of players under contract to 33. AFL teams are permitted to bring as many as 35 players to training camp.
"Tommy is a sound blocking technician, particularly in pass protection, and uses his feet and hands well to maintain his blocks and neutralize his opponent," said head coach Chis Siegfried. "He also brings good versatility to our team."
Crowley (6'5", 295 lbs.), 27, excelled as a center at NCAA Division II West Texas A&M before gaining some arena football experience with the Amarillo Venom of the Lone Star Football League. He was originally signed to the Power July 8 and appeared at center in the team's final three games.
