Engelland To Face Disciplinary Hearing

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – After delivering a high hit during last night's 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks, Deryk Engelland will face a disciplinary hearing.

According to a TSN report, Engelland will have a hearing with the NHL's disciplinary committee for a hit he delivered to Chicago's Marcus Kruger.

As Kruger made his way into the Pittsburgh zone, Engelland made initial contact with Kruger's head. Kruger left the game and did not return.

He reportedly suffered a concussion and will not play Wednesday night for the Blackhawks.

The Penguins are currently missing Zbynek Michalek, Paul Martin and Kris Letang from their defense corps.

Ben Lovejoy made his return to the lineup for the first time since breaking his wrist on Nov. 3.
