Pouncey Misses Practice, Ben Returns

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Aside from Ben Roethlisberger, another important starter may have suffered a setback in the game against Cleveland.

KDKA's Bob Pompeani reports Maurkice Pouncey may have re-injured himself. He is battling a high ankle sprain.

Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said he is worried about Pouncey's status against Denver. Pouncey spoke Thursday and said, according to the Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette, his ankle started to become an issue at the end of Wednesday's practice.

"I practiced the other day and toward the end I got sore," Pouncey said after practice Thursday. "Today, I came in and my ankle was real sore, so I don't know what the turnout is going to be. Right now, I'm not practicing."

Roethlisberger returned to practice Thursday after missing Wednesday because of a set-back to his ankle injury. He said his ankle is still sore. He is expected to start Sunday at Denver in the Wildcard round of the playoffs.

Pouncey's status is very much up in the air at this stage.
