Latest Round Of Snow Could Create Messy Evening Rush

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The evening rush hour could get a little messy with another round of snow heading into the area today.

KDKA chief meteorologist Jeff Verszyla is forecasting scattered snow showers into the early evening hours.

He is expecting an accumulation of about a coating to one inch total. The snow is expected to end by late this evening.

Verszyla says the rest of the tonight will be mostly cloudy.

The next weather system is set to arrive on Friday night and continue into Saturday morning.

After a day of increasing clouds on Friday, the wintry mix arrives for the evening and overnight.

It looks like a combination of snow, rain and sleet will affect the region with a messy one to three inches by Saturday morning. Friday's high will reach around 27 with a low of 24.

On Saturday, precipitation will end by midday and the high will be 36 degrees.
