Crosby Sees Another Specialist In Concussion Symptom Recovery

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Sidney Crosby continues to recover from concussion-like symptoms and has traveled to California to meet with another doctor.

According to the Penguins' website, Crosby took a trip to California to meet with neurological spine specialist Dr. Robert S. Bray.

Bray is the founding director and CEO of D.I.S.C. Sports and Spine Center and worked with the United States Olympic team at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

"Sidney is meeting with some of the top specialists in the country as he continues his recovery," Penguins General Manager Ray Shero said in a statement.

Earlier this week, Crosby met with chiropractic neurology specialist Dr. Ted Carrick in Atlanta.

Crosby has not played since Dec. 5 because of the concussion-like symptoms.

The Penguins are currently on a five-game winning streak and will host the Washington Capitals on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
