McKees Rocks Man Shot, Killed Overnight

McKEES ROCKS (KDKA) -- Police are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot and killed overnight in McKees Rocks.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Quinn White, 24, of McKees Rocks.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 12:20 a.m. in the 100-block of Churchill Street.

Investigators in McKees Rocks say White's death has too many questions, and so far, no answers.

"We don't have a history with him, not with this particular department," said Chief Robert Cifrulak, of the McKees Rocks Police. "The name was absolutely unfamiliar to me."

All they know is this father of three and aspiring entertainer was gunned down, possibly walking home and on the phone when his young life came to a violent end.

"We believe he was in the process of making a cell phone call. My understanding is his last words were, 'What's up?'" said Chief Cifrulak. "One of the residents, moments afterward, walked out of her home to go to a convenience store and she ultimately discovered Mr. White's body in the alley at Churchill Street."

Diana Patterson lives yards from the murder scene.

One gunshot and that was it," she said. "I was at the door in two seconds and I didn't see anything. I didn't see the poor guy laying there."

Police tell KDKA that right now there are no suspects.

Anyone with information on the shooting is being asked to contact the Allegheny County Police Department or McKees Rocks Police.
