BP In Herminie Robbed For The 6th Time

HERMINIE (KDKA) – State police are looking for a man who robbed the BP in Herminie last night just as it was closing for the evening.

The suspect went in around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night wearing a hooded sweatshirt and bandana over his face. He then pointed a gun at the young clerks' faces.

"He pointed the gun right at my girls and he had white gloves on, so he took the money and he was gone – all in 30 seconds," Sue Luciow, store manager, said.

He grabbed cash from the register before running off. A K-9 unit tracked him to another nearby gas station, but the suspect got away.

This is the sixth time the BP in Herminie has been robbed. They have an extensive network of surveillance cameras that capture high quality photos of everyone who comes inside.

State police believe the suspect is from the area and hope someone will recognize him in the surveillance video.

"He's probably somewhere in that area," State Trooper Steve Limani said. "We don't have any reason to believe someone would travel a far distance to go to this isolated area and rob the service station."

If you recognize the suspect, contact state police.
