Man Injured In Homewood Police-Involved Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - An 18-year-old Homewood man was arrested after allegedly firing shots at police Friday night.

According to police, the incident happened at 9:10 p.m. in the 7400-block of Race Street while police were responding to reports of gunshots being fired.

Investigators said that is when they spotted Daron Jordan with a gun in his hand. Jordon was ordered to drop the weapon, but he allegedly fired the weapon and ran.

Officers returned fire and struck Jordon in the arm. Jordan was later found in a nearby house and taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital for treatment.

Jordan is facing a list of charges including aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and firearms violations. He was also found with a small amount of marijuana.
