"Outlaw Platoon" Author Talks Serving In Afghanistan

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- They say war is hell, and history is filled with riveting tales of guts and glory.

Captain Sean Parnell, a Pittsburgh native, started his tour in Afghanistan in February 2006, and while there his platoon went through 60 battles filled with bombs, bullets, and bodies.

Now, Captain Parnell has written a detailed book of the actual stories he and his men brought back, and "Outlaw Platoon: Heroes, Renegades, Infidels, and the Brotherhood of War in Afghanistan" has been a bestseller for four weeks in a row.

KDKA AM's Larry Richert and John Shumway invited Captain Parnell in studio for over an hour to share his amazing stories and talk about his new book.
