Thunderstorms Could Bring Wind, Hail & Heavy Rain Tonight

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- After a cool start this morning, some stormy weather could be ahead later tonight.

KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman says today's forecast looks mainly cloudy and a bit milder with a high of 61 degrees.

However, he says we should be on the lookout for the arrival of thunderstorms by late afternoon and early evening.

Some of these late-day storms have the potential for damaging winds, large hail and briefly heavy rain. Also, Bowman says the possibility of an isolated tornado is not out of the question during this time frame.

The storms will end overnight, and then Saturday should be mostly cloudy but dry with a high of 57.

On Sunday, Bowman says the weather will be partly sunny and warmer with a thunderstorm possible. The high will be 73 degrees.

If severe weather threatens, remember to stay indoors, on the lowest floor in an interior room and away from windows.
