Biker Allegedly Run Off Road By Stepfather In Fayette Co.

NORTH UNION (KDKA) -- A man is in the hospital after police say he was run off the road by his stepfather.

The incident started as an argument between the men and escalated.

Police say 46-year-old Timothy Rockwell was lying in wait along Route 51 in North Union until he saw his stepson, 37-year-old Allen Rockwell, drive by.

That's when he used his truck to drive the younger man's motorcycle off the road.

"The unit No. 1 struck unit No. 2, causing some pretty significant injuries to the operator of unit No. 2 who was on a motorcycle," State Trooper Stefani Plume said.

Allen Rockwell suffered significant injuries and was rushed to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

"As far as I know, he did have some broken bones – I believe that they said two broken legs," Plume said.

Police have not yet filed charges. They are planning to interview the victim to determine what charges, if any, are appropriate.

"At this time, the investigation is still ongoing," Plume said. "No charges have been filed as of yet, but it appears as though from witness interviews and statements that were made doing interviews after the crash that it appears as though this was intentional."

Police say they are investigating the case as an aggravated assault.
