Investigators: Video Shows 2-Year-Old Being Taught About Marijuana

FARRELL (KDKA) -- Police say a cell phone video has led to a major drug arrest in Mercer County.

Investigators say video of a 2-year-old boy being taught how to break up marijuana buds was recovered from a cell phone allegedly belonging to 25-year-old Christopher Cordero of Farrell.

On Feb. 15, Southwest Regional Police responded to shots fired in the 300-block of Spearman Avenue. Inside a Chevy Monte Carlo, officers say they found the cell phone, a .40-caliber handgun, plastic baggies filled with marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

Evidence allegedly links the drugs and phone to Cordero who gave his last address as a home on Stevenson Avenue.

But a woman arriving from work at the house Wednesday denied every knowing Cordero.

"He's not here; he doesn't live here," the woman told KDKA's Mary Robb Jackson.

The criminal complaint also describes the video showing the little boy smelling the marijuana on his hands while breaking up the buds.

When he stops, the criminal complaint says Cordero can allegedly be heard yelling at the child to continue.

The woman at the home later went to the police station asking that her address be removed from the criminal complaint.

The District Attorney would not show the video of the child because he says the investigation is still ongoing.

Cordero is charged with drug violations but has yet to be charged with anything having to do with the child in the video. Cordero was released on unsecured bond.
