1 Dead, 3 Injured In Mercer County Crash

FINDLEY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One person was killed and three others were injured in a wrong way crash on Interstate 79 in Mercer County Friday night.

According to police, the accident happened near mile marker 116 in Findley Township around 5:12 p.m.

A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling south when it crossed the median and hit a 2004 GMC Yukon head on.

The driver of the Yukon was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Marc Obniski, 58, of Conneaut Lake.

The driver of the Silverado, Brandon Rose, 36, of Paragold, Ark., was taken to Allegheny General Hospital along with two passengers.

No other details have been released at this time.
