Woman Charged In Boyfriend's Stabbing Death Is Found Not Guilty

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Hill District woman who was found not guilty in the stabbing death of her boyfriend is being released today.

Ashley Wilson was six months pregnant at the time.

Her lawyer argued she allegedly stabbed the victim, Marquis White, out of self-defense after he grabbed her and slammed her up against the kitchen wall.

She testified she blindly reached for something to fend him off.

"The only item that she could grab for was a knife, and she didn't even see a knife; she just grabbed for any object she could use to get her boyfriend off of her," said Phil DiLucente, Wilson's lawyer.

A jury acquitted her on Thursday.

White was the father of Wilson's child.

"That's the father of my daughter, you know," Wilson said. "I would never want anything to happen to him and it just so happened that day that happen so that's why I'm sad."
