Bill O'Brien Talks About Annual PSU/Pitt Game

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Last week, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported that Penn State Head Football Coach Bill O'Brien said he would like to see the Penn State/Pitt Football rivalry become an annual event again.

O'Brien joined the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday morning to talk about the rivalry. Bill says he has respect for Pitt Coach Paul Chryst, and also respects the tradition of the rivalry.

For many years now, PSU hasn't had a true #1 starting Quarterback that is assured the position. Bill believes that if you have two starting Quarterbacks, you don't have any starting Quarterbacks. The reason is rhythm and familiarity. Bill believes in a Starter, and a Backup relationship.
