Route 65 Back Open After Overnight Flooding

AMBRIDGE (KDKA) -- A stretch of Route 65 between Ambridge and Leetsdale is back open after it was submerged.

Heavy rain forced northbound Route 65 to close late Monday night between Cross Street in Leetsdale and Fourth Street in Ambridge.

Several feet of water ponded on the highway, rendering it impassible.

Overnight, the flood waters receded, the road is clear and commuters are able to drive through the area.
