Boy Suffers Sprained Neck After Alleged Assault By Teacher

REDSTONE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – The parents of a 12-year-old Fayette County boy went to the Redstone Township Police Department because they want charges filed against a teacher at Cardale Elementary School where they say their son was physically assaulted by a female teacher.

The teacher allegedly put her hand around the boy's neck, pushed him against the wall and had to be restrained.

Shawn Hriscisce, the boy's father, told KDKA-TV his son suffered a sprained neck and a possible concussion.

He said regardless of his son's injuries, he wants the teacher out of the school because his son is afraid.

Redstone Police Sgt. Norman Howard said there were several witnesses that have to be interviewed including the teacher and he also wants to talk to the school principal.

No time frame was given on charges against the teacher. Attempts to reach the superintendent were unsuccessful.

Meantime, the boy returns to the hospital Friday for a CAT scan.
