Alleged Child Molester Faces Nearly 650 Criminal Counts

JACKSON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Michael David Lewis, 40, who lived in Jackson Township, Mercer County, before moving to Nashville, Tenn., several years ago, is facing nearly 650 charges involving child sex abuse.

State Police say Lewis is awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania where he'll be prosecuted on rape, sexual assault and related charges.

Trooper Troy Owen at the Mercer State Police barracks says the crimes occurred in Jackson Township and investigators found out about them a month or so ago when two alleged victims came forward.

Further investigation led to another victim.

Owen said Lewis, while living in Nashville, would travel back and forth between Mercer County, and his home in Tennessee.

Josh Bradac, of West Middlesex, near Jackson Twp., reacted to Lewis' arrest.

"It's a shame, I can't believe people are like that," he said.

There's no timetable on when Lewis will be returned to Pennsylvania.
